MICHAEL A BERGER –
I just got mine yesterday from Amazon.
Over-all it is a nice design. Easy to assemble (I did it by myself, though they recommend 2 people). Took me about 1.5hr.
I was pleased with the weight of it, the fabricated steel wheels, and options for cooking.
However, things went downhill during the first burn-off/seasoning round with it…..
After about 2hr. with the gauge never going over 250degrees, I opened the main smoking chamber door to allow it to cool a little so I could apply some
peanut oil inside and noticed that the sub-par powder coating on the bottom of the chamber was blistering (this should not happen and probably causes toxic fumes to be released in the chamber).
I’m not about to dis-assemble, re-box and ship this 100+lb. smoker back.
So, now I have to come up with a solution to fix it.

This is for packaging & assembly mostly……. everything was wrapped carefully to prevent damage as everything came in one big heavy box , the instructions say 30 minute assembly time , it took me longer but no problem , all of the parts that belong together were packaged together , the hardware was all in one package , labeled with everything there , the instructions were very thorough and easy to follow and understand …….I recommend assembly on a piece of carpet or cardboard to keep from scuffing up the outer finish . I have assembled many things in the past and this was by far the best , very user friendly and a well thought out process (assembly) , no missing parts or headaches here . Take your time unwrapping the parts . I have had many smokers since the last 4 decades and this is a heavy duty great design , still need to season it . When I do my smoking ,I am usually wrenching on our Harleys in the Garage which makes it easier to keep an eye on everything ! My Wife got this for me for my 61st B-day ! Thanks Babe !!!
