I have had the smoker since last fall. It has performed perfectly. Salmon, ribs, pork shoulders, plate ribs and chicken. All tasty.
I admit, I prefer electric (easier to control heat), so I put the element from old smoker in the pan on top of lava rock added controller for the temp. (Amazon too). Will keep 212 degrees all day with no work. My only issue is that the top rack is so close
You will have trouble putting anything on the rack if it is thicker than a thin rib rack. If it was down 2-3 inches or adjustable it would be 5×5 rating. Thus you really only get two places to work on. Heavy gauge steel help keep temp steady too. Easy to add chips, water to pan. Door is good sized. Close the top and the bottom vent about 95% and smoke away! Good solid smoker with mods. Maybe they could make it electric model too.
