This is my first smoker and my first attempt to smoke a brisket.
This smoker was slightly damaged when I received it. I think you should include everything needed to assemble; High temp gaskets for doors and in between compartments. I had to make my own. I also made my own transfer cart so I could move it around if needed. The problem I had is I assumed that a full brisket would fit in this smoker, and it doesn’t. I had to separate the point from the flat. I should have bought the wider one. Nonetheless, my brisket turned out GREAT!!! Great smoke flavor. The point was very tender but the flat was not. I will experiment and get better with time.

Problem- bottom shelf gets the heat from firebox.
GOOD- put fire brick and a metal pan of water. Controls heat a lot better. Gave up some cooking space but for the price it is perfect 👌

I love my Dyna Glo offset Smoker, but was wondering if you can purchase replacement parts? The charcoal chamber has started to rust & also the wire grate that the charcoal chamber sits on is rusted & coming apart. Although I have a large universal grill/smoker cover over the smoker when not in use, it has still started to rust in spots & other areas!

I purchased this online from Tractor Supply and it had some dinging but not major damage. A dent in the door did not keep it from closing properly. I agree with the first review, that some gasket material should be included to seal up the smoke chamber and firebox. I ordered some online and it helped a lot sealing the smoke box and firebox nice and tight. I don’t plan on using this for large cuts of meat like some intend, just maybe racks of ribs and an occasional roast or small brisket.

I bought one off of Amazon in 2020 and absolutely love it. I’ve gotten so much use out of my Dyan-Glo Vertical Offset. It was my first smoker so I started off simple with charcoal and have since moved onto using wood. Assembly was easy and requires little to no maintenance. The analog thermometer is decent but it wouldn’t hurt to invest in a digital one for a more accurate reading on cooking temps. The only thing I would recommend with this is to season the smoker before using, buy a smoker gasket, and definitely invest in a cover.
